Green age: senior 2.0 residence meets the objective of promoting a new concept of "living together", with particular attention to the elderly. The mandate defined by the public tender included the recovery, the redevelopment and the expansion with an increase in accommodation capacity and types of offerings of an existing and obsolete rest home. The project proposes a complete transformation of the residence for the elderly which, from a place of "parking" for people in psycho / physical decline, will become a real community, place of inclusion and integration, with various residential typologies (Rest Home, Senior Residence, Residence with easy access healthcare) and open services (Day Center, Neighborhood Library, restaurant and cafeteria). An accurate bibliographic research, an in-depth study of the territory and the sociological problem, a fact-finding investigation were the starting point of the design process, which was followed by the architectural design and a deepening of the regulatory, technological, structural and engineering aspects. This complex and articulated project implied choices oriented to the humanization of living spaces, to intergenerational and neighborhood integration, to greenery as a curative element, to low energy impact, to regulatory adjustments for safety and accessibility, fostering the overcoming and elimination of all architectural and non-architectural barriers. The result is the development of a project that wants to change the "retirement home" archetype and transform it into a green / resort concept that will work on the existing one, but will not override it, will insert volumes, but will not dominate what it originates from and interprets. recovery, requalification and expansion of the existing according to innovative criteria without forgetting tradition and territorial specificity.
Green age: residenza senior 2.0 risponde all’obiettivo di promuovere un nuovo concetto di “abitare insieme”, con particolare attenzione alla terza età. Il mandato definito dal bando includeva il recupero, la riqualificazione e l’ampliamento con aumento della capacità ricettiva e delle tipologie di offerta di una casa di riposo esistente ed obsoleta. Il progetto propone una trasformazione completa della residenza per anziani che, da luogo di “stazionamento” per persone in declino psico/fisico, diventerà un vero e proprio luogo comunitario di inclusione e integrazione, con varie tipologie residenziali (Casa di Riposo, Residenza Senior, ResidenzaSanitariaAssistita) e di servizi aperti (Centro Diurno, Biblioteca di quartiere, ristorante e caffetteria). Un’accurata ricerca bibliografica, uno studio approfondito del territorio e del problema sociologico, un’indagine conoscitiva dello stato di fatto sono stati la partenza dell’iter progettuale, a cui ha fatto seguito la progettazione architettonica e un approfondimento degli aspetti normativi, tecnologici, strutturali ed impiantistici. Questo progetto complesso ed articolato ha implicato scelte orientate all’umanizzazione degli spazi abitativi, all’integrazione intergenerazionale e di quartiere, al verde come elemento curativo, al basso impatto energetico, agli adeguamenti normativi per la sicurezza e l’accessibilità favorendo il superamento e l’eliminazione di tutte le barriere architettoniche e non. Il risultato è lo sviluppo di un progetto che vuole cambiare l’archetipo “casa di riposo” e trasformarlo in un concept green/resort che lavorerà sull’esistente, ma non lo prevaricherà, inserirà volumi, ma non sovrasterà ciò da cui origina e interpreterà recupero, riqualificazione e ampliamento dell’esistente secondo criteri innovativi senza dimenticare tradizione e specificità territoriali.
