The following elaborate shows the procedures necessary for the evaluation of the seismic behavior of a masonry building belonging to the Montello Complex. Initially we will focus on the determination of the mechanical properties of the materials present in the structure using, in addition to the prescriptions present in the Italian legislation, the IQM method and the experimental results obtained by carrying out tests carried out on site. Once the mechanical properties are known and the stresses acting on the structure are defined, a model will be defined to be subjected to a modal analysis which, despite its simplicity, will make it possible to highlight the critical issues present and will make it possible to propose global structural interventions aimed at involving a higher percentage of seismic mass of the building, in order to improve the overall behavior. The modal analysis will be followed by a more accurate and significant non-linear static analysis which, by means of the Pushover method, will allow to determine the evolution steps of the non-linearities present in the structure, going to identify both the regions in which they develop, and the correlation between plasticization and the seismic spectrum typical of the place. From this analysis we will also define the value of the behavior factor, the size of which highlights the degree of plasticization that occurred in the building. In addition to the non-linear static analysis, a linear dynamic analysis will be performed, highlighting both the differences obtained compared to the non-linear static analysis, and the results obtained using different values of the behavior factor. To complete the discussion on the seismic response of the building, analyzes will be performed on the possible birth of local collapse mechanisms, highlighting both the type and the critical issues present in the structure that allow it to be born. The aim of this last phase is to identify further interventions, not found in the analyzes previously carried out, necessary to prevent the emergence of these mechanisms and therefore ensure adequate seismic behavior of the building.

Abstract
The aim of this last phase is to identify further interventions, not found in the analyzes previously carried out, necessary to prevent the emergence of these mechanisms and therefore ensure adequate seismic behavior of the building.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
