The project for the Flos corporate museum aims to understand how two institutes (museum; company) can be combined, which are still quite distant in the horizon of common sense. The research starts from the study and mapping of the emerging reality of corporate museums in Italy, which leads to having a basic knowledge for the start of the project. The business museum project, located in the industrial center of Flos, in Bovezzo (Brescia), takes into consideration a disused portion used as a warehouse which is converted into this new space. The set-up is not only and solely the display of company materials, but tries to investigate more inherent themes: in addition to historical research, several topics are treated by comparing the products of this production reality. These museums become necessary for seeing, knowing, analyzing, handling, redesigning an artifact in vile body, accessing studies, drawings, molds, prototypes and anything else documentary or experiential is allowed by the exhibition and archives. In addition, in a contemporary sense, the business museum becomes a "container" space for different activities within it. The goal thus becomes didactic and not the 'morgue' of civilization, also thanks to interactive installations and a meeting place for events, workshop activities, product launches, conferences.
Il progetto per il museo d’impresa di Flos si pone l’obiettivo di capire come si possano coniugare due istituti (museo; impresa), che sono tuttora abbastanza distanti nell’orizzonte del senso comune. La ricerca parte dallo studio e la mappatura dell’emergente realtà dei musei d’impresa in Italia, che porta ad avere una conoscenza di base per l’inizio del progetto. Il progetto di museo d’impresa, sito nel polo industriale di Flos, a Bovezzo (Brescia), prende in considerazione una porzione dismessa adibita a magazzino che viene riconvertita in questo nuovo spazio. L’allestimento non è solo ed unicamente l’esposizione di materiale dell’azienda, ma cerca di indagare temi più insiti alla stessa: oltre alla ricerca storica, diversi i temi trattati mettendo a confronto i prodotti di questa realtà produttiva. Questi musei diventano necessari per vedere, conoscere, analizzare, maneggiare, ridisegnare un manufatto in corpore vili, accedendo a studi, disegni, stampi, prototipi e quant’altro di documentale o esperienziale sia consentito dall’esposizione e dagli archivi. Inoltre, in un’accezione contemporanea, il museo d’impresa diventa uno spazio ‘contenitore’ di differenti attività all’interno di esso. L’obiettivo diventa, così, didattico e non ‘morgue’ della civiltà, anche grazie a installazioni interattive e luogo d’incontro per eventi, attività laboratoriali, lancio dei prodotti, conferenze.
