Technological innovations are in the today’s society the driver for competitive success in all the industries. Even more relevant for gaining an advantage over competitors has become for companies the ability to balance the technological and human aspects of innovation. Design Thinking – a human centred approach to innovation – might be the proper methodology for achieving such purpose, while Artificial Intelligence – due to its intrinsic nature – the best field of analysis. Thus, this research aims at providing a deep look at the Design Thinking, as a methodology to be integrated with Technology Development for fostering more meaningful applications for Artificial Intelligence. Qualitative ethnographic observations and case studies’ interviews were performed to assess how the two – as much opposite as complementary – approaches are being hybridized by companies. From these observations, it was identified and described the Technological Design Thinking, a hybrid approach that seems to be rapidly gaining momentum in the business world. Finally, the study also traced some practical guidelines for practitioners to foster more meaningful applications for innovative technologies.

Abstract
Finally, the study also traced some practical guidelines for practitioners to foster more meaningful applications for innovative technologies.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
