Dicotomia. Between art & fashion

The idea of my Master's thesis has been developed by two personal interests: art and fashion. These, together with the experience made at the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, have allowed me to enlarge my cultural background, increasing my interest in the field. The project is an exhibition that wants to create an emotive dialogue between these two important disciplines (art and fashion). The 8 main rooms of the museum will be set up in a common language. The dresses, the jewels and the works of art are disposed in order to communicate each oter and with the space around. Every pieces reflect the main theme of the room in which it is located. The exhibition creates a game of reflections and dialogues through visual affinity and thought.

L’idea della mia tesi magistrale nasce da due grandi passioni personali: la moda e l’arte. Queste, insieme all'esperienza presso la Collezione Peggy Guggenheim di Venezia, mi hanno permesso di ampliare il mio bagaglio culturale aumentando il mio interesse nel settore. La mia idea di progetto propone l’allestimento di una mostra che instauri un dialogo tra queste due importanti discipline (arte e moda). Saranno allestite con un linguaggio comune le 8 sale principali del museo dove si affiancheranno abiti, gioielli e quadri della Collezione. I “pezzi” scelti si rifaranno alle 4 tematiche scelte per ogni sala, proponendo un gioco di rimandi e rispecchiandone la filosofia per affinità visiva e di pensiero.
