The following research thesis investigates the potential value and contribution of the design practice within the organizational context and, in detail, in the collaboration with the Human Resources. In the last decades the organizational context, a stage where continuous and fast-paced economic, technological and social changes have been happening, has turned its attention to the design practice with the aim of innovation by implementing and delivering premium products and services. Besides, the interest is incresingly addressed to the design process itself, which influences and shapes the involved actors’ behaviours and approaches by way of its principles, practices and methodologies. Thus, the discipline is called to address organizational dynamics, needs and challenges in response to the request of new skills and ways of working. These premises result in the renewed interest towards the employees, greatest company’s asset and ultimate vehicle of innovation. Within this context, the Human Resources department, which has struggled in proving its value in respect of the business logics over the last decade, returns on the stage and becomes a further field of application for the design practice. The described scenario pointed some questions to be answered through this thesis: 1) what is the file rouge connecting the two disciplines? 2) what is contribution that design could bring to the human resources division? 3) how to deploy design practices, methodologies, approaches and tools to make such collaboration find fertile ground to finally take roots? Reflections, hypothesis and opportunities, emerged from the literature review, shaped and had a consequent reflection on the path of collaboration with the Human Resources department of Banca Intesa Sanpaolo specifically serving the Corporate Investment Banking division. Finally, an exploratory field research, conducted through interviews and co-design activities involving the managament, aimed at designing the foundations of such collaboration by tracing processes, contents, scope and objectives and envisioning long-range impacts and benefits.

Abstract
Finally, an exploratory field research, conducted through interviews and co-design activities involving the managament, aimed at designing the foundations of such collaboration by tracing processes, contents, scope and objectives and envisioning long-range impacts and benefits.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
