In 1989 Tim Berners-Lee also known as the inventor of the World Wide Web proposed to create a global hypertext project, which later became known as the World Wide Web. Around 1996, Microsoft released its first competitive browser and since the start of the 21st century, the web has become more and more integrated into people's lives. The technologies, development tools, and techniques surrounding web development evolved together with the growing interest of people in the subject. This also means that building and maintaining a web application a decade old would be completely different process with respect to the development and maintenance of a young web app of the modern era. The goal of this document is to explain what are the reasons that could take a company to consider the migration of their web application to the current market standards and what are the modern approaches, technologies, and techniques that businesses use to approach web development in the nowadays competitive market.
Nel 1989 Tim Berners-Lee, conosciuto anche come l’inventore del World Wide Web propose la creazione di un progetto mondiale per l’ipertesto che più tardi divenne conosciuto come il World Wide Web. Intorno al 1996 Microsoft rilasciò il suo primo browser competitivo sul mercato e sin dagli inizi del ventunesimo secolo il web è entrato sempre più a far parte della vita delle persone. Le tecnologie, strumenti di sviluppo e tecniche che circondano lo sviluppo web si sono evolute insieme all’incremento dell’interesse delle persone in tale campo. Questo significa anche che, costruire e mantenere una applicazione web nata dieci anni fa è un processo completamente diverso rispetto allo sviluppo e mantenimento di una applicazione web moderna. Lo scopo di questa mia tesi è l’esposizione delle ragioni che portano un’azienda a considerare la migrazione della loro applicazione web, verso gli standard del mercato odierno ma, anche spiegare quale è l’approccio, le tecnologie e tecniche che le compagnie usano per lo sviluppo web nel competitivo mercato di oggi.
