Although much has been written about the history of water supply systems, there is a lack of corresponding information on wastewater management. This is surprising since the lack of sanitation affects human development to the same or even greater extent as the lack of clean water. While there may be an added stigma to discussing waste treatment, sanitation is widely perceived as meriting a significant claim on financial and political resources as well on the evolution of mankind. Speaking of the Sewage system in Countries especially like India, it is still a complex system where construction of manholes and sewage pipes generally do not confirm to standards in their operation and maintenance. Numerous challenges include poor construction, unauthorized (nonstandard) connections, rodent damages, and cross connection with other systems such as stormwater drains. Deaths due to asphyxiation and manual cleaning (though banned by law) are not uncommon. The available mechanism for technology-driven automated solutions is expensive, and often not viable in congested settlements. Portable devices available abroad for inspecting pipes and sewers are very uncommon in India. There is a need for tools and devices which are capable of inspecting and potentially removing minor clogs from the sewer lines and are operable by the workforce the authorities already possess with minimum training and aid to the periodic inspection and maintenance of the sewer system. This Thesis discusses the conceptual designing for a Sanitary machine which can inspect, de-clog and de-silt in the rugged Indian environment, and the device is expected to be operated by the sanitary workers who form the section of society generally who are involved in the upkeep of sewer lines, providing them with much more dignified life and enhanced livelihood.

Abstract
This Thesis discusses the conceptual designing for a Sanitary machine which can inspect, de-clog and de-silt in the rugged Indian environment, and the device is expected to be operated by the sanitary workers who form the section of society generally who are involved in the upkeep of sewer lines, providing them with much more dignified life and enhanced livelihood.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
