The digital revolution brought a series of profound innovations in every aspect of our daily life, from the media to the economy, from communication to social relations. The long series of innovations that it brought with it has greatly influenced the ways of safeguarding and enhancing cultural heritage. However, the intangible heritage, the subject of this thesis, still presents numerous difficulties at the communicative and visual level, despite the strong impact on our cultural identity and the strong economic and social potential. It intrinsically expresses something to be handed down, a collective heritage that needs to be preserved and handed down without compromising its truthfulness and authenticity: on the one hand it represents the roots of communities around the world, the cultural identity of entire nations, on the other hand a unique opportunity to create interconnections between different cultures and countries. The challenges of communication design in this sense are multiple: to understand which is the right visual model to communicate a heritage that, in fact, exists only when it is implemented and which, moreover, for the large amount of data that welcomes within it, needs to be organized visually; a simple and clear setting, built through the methodologies of information design, is a valid support to the exploration of heritage. Eventually, it is necessary to combine a mode of active participation of the user to the exploration of the intangible heritage to enhance and promote the many possibilities of interconnection of intangible assets.

Abstract
Eventually, it is necessary to combine a mode of active participation of the user to the exploration of the intangible heritage to enhance and promote the many possibilities of interconnection of intangible assets.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
