This thesis work is based on the internship experience at the SLM s.r.l. of Alzate Brianza (CO). Nowadays the problem of safety in the workplace is a very sensitive issue, specially in the industrial sector. In fact, reading the INAIL data of the workplace accidents we realize how critical the situation is and how essential is to increase the workers safety. In the industrial panorama it can be noted that many machines are quite dated and lacking in any security system. This study analyses in detail how to increase the safety of a machine according to the standards, using the revamping technique. In order to execute the operation both technical and economical aspects have been taken into account, in particular the convenience between buying a new machine or increase the safety on an old one. We also want to point up the importance, often not fully understood by employers, of investing in workplace safety. In particular, a revamping case of a boring machine of 1984, located at the Flowserve plant in Desio (MB), will be presented.
Il presente elaborato di tesi è stato svolto sulla base dell’esperienza di Tirocinio presso la SLM s.r.l. di Alzate Brianza (CO). Al giorno d’oggi il problema della sicurezza sul luogo di lavoro è un tema molto sentito, soprattutto in ambito industriale. Infatti, leggendo i dati INAIL degli infortuni sul lavoro, ci si accorge di quanto la situazione sia critica e di quanto sia indispensabile aumentare la sicurezza dei lavoratori. Nel panorama industriale si può notare come molte macchine siano parecchio datate e prive di qualsiasi sistema di sicurezza. In questo studio viene analizzato dettagliatamente come aumentare la sicurezza di una macchina secondo le norme, utilizzando la tecnica del revamping. Per eseguire l’intervento si è tenuto conto sia degli aspetti tecnici sia degli aspetti economici, in particolar modo la convenienza tra il comprare una nuova macchina o intervenire sulla sicurezza di una macchina vecchia. Si vuole inoltre sottolineare l’importanza, spesso non compresa fino in fondo dai datori di lavoro, di investire sulla sicurezza in ambito lavorativo. In particolare, sarà presentato un caso di revamping di un’alesatrice del 1984, situata presso lo stabilimento della Flowserve a Desio (MB).
