La nuova Valdrara. Un'isola sportiva per Sesto San Giovanni

Valdrada is a happy sporting island, where a project for the whole community has developed. The work deals with the reappropriation and conscious awareness of the disused spaces defined within the municipality of Sesto San Giovanni, between Milan and Monza. The project analyzes two major themes: that of architecture of Classroom, through the application of the principles of Mies Van der Rohe and that of the link between the ancient and the most recent city. The general intention was to intensify the knowledge of the area starting from the relationship with history and producing a sports machine capable of driving Sesto San Giovanni and Milan in future events. All branches are deepened, especially the scale of architecture and landscape, developing up to that of architectural detail and therefore of construction.

Valdrada è una felice isola sportiva, in cui si è sviluppato un progetto per l’intera comunità. Il lavoro tratta della riappropriazione e presa di coscienza consapevole degli spazi in disuso definiti all’interno del comune di Sesto San Giovanni, tra Milano e Monza. Il progetto analizza due grandi temi: quello dell’architettura ad Aula, attraverso l’applicazione dei principi di Mies van der Rohe e quello di architettura partecipata, in cui il progetto fa da cerniera tra la città antica e quella più recente. La volontà generale è stata quella di intensificare la conoscenza del territorio iniziando dal rapporto con la storia e producendo una macchina per lo Sport in grado di guidare Sesto San Giovanni e Milano negli eventi futuri. Si approfondiscono tutti i rami, soprattutto le scale dell’architettura e del paesaggio, sviluppandosi fino a quella del dettaglio architettonico e quindi della costruzione.
