This thesis aims to integrate two big issues of Chile, housing lackage and waste mismanagement, into a design proposal consisting in a low budget construction system based on recycled materials. At first, the causes and features of these two phenomena re framed with an overall, large-scale analysis The investigation is then circumscribed to a precise typology of waste, paper, and to a specific social housign project in Santiago. The construction synthesis takes place in the form of composite insulating panels, the object of experimental analysis and used as a perimeter closure. The architectural proposal integrates passive design strategies and aims to overcome dimensional constraints through the incrementality of housing units. The public space is defined by the aggregation of buildings in continuity and functional plurality. Building density require concrete structures, which are subject to a deeper analysis, about seismic behaviour.

Abstract
Building density require concrete structures, which are subject to a deeper analysis, about seismic behaviour.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
