The main aim of this work is the performance analysis of road pavements, characterized by courses with high modulus bituminous mixtures, in order to estimate the pavement life increase in comparison with traditional pavements. This work, which is divided into two parts, regards the comparison between different design methods and the analysis of tense-deformative state of the studied pavements. The analysed methods are rational methods, one with elastic multilayer hypothesis, another with visco-elastic multilayer hypothesis, and an empirical-mechanical method; they are compared in order to understand benefits and disadvantages. In this context, different fatigue and rutting laws, with detailed descriptions, are studied. The tense-deformative analysis of the pavement realized with high modulus bituminous mixtures, is carried out considering the multilayer elastic theory. Besides the parameters influence, as subgrade quality and position oh the course characterized by high modulus bituminous mixture, on stresses and strains distribution and on pavement’s life, has been evaluated.

Abstract
Besides the parameters influence, as subgrade quality and position oh the course characterized by high modulus bituminous mixture, on stresses and strains distribution and on pavement’s life, has been evaluated.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
