This paper seeks to identify the main changes in the gaming industry led by the digital innovation. The initial overview of the industry is necessary to understand the numbers and the impact of the trends in the entire world. The reader should be informed about the concept of gaming and the information from a historical point of view before going deep into the analysis from a business perspective. Then it is important to let the reader know about the Value chain and the players in the market in order to improve the understanding of the following analysis. The best option to describe and understand the change of the market is the combination of a qualitative and a quantitative analysis. The qualitative analysis focuses on the existing literature works, especially on a literature description of the innovations regarding business model, revenue model, distribution channel and content management. The quantitative analysis focuses on listing and studying the Top games of the last generation, in order to realize which are the main trends due to the digital revolution. Finally, to have some examples from the real world, some business cases of players in the industry have been included in order to understand if the information gathered from the literature match with the results of the interviews
