Abstract
The biomechanical analysis is very important in the sportive prosthesis area. Many models exist to schematise the process of running. The spring-mass model is a good balance between simplicity and accuracy. The leg is modelled with a spring with body mass on it. There is a great deal of mathematical models to calculate the leg stiffness, but not all of them can be applied to a transfemoral amputee sprinter analysed in the athletic track, where it is difficult to use all the instruments in the laboratory. The goals of this study were four. Analysis of different models to estimate leg and vertical stiffness present in literature. Implementation of Matlab code to calculate leg stiffness with kinematic and dynamic of athletes with all the mathematical models and to characterize the sagittal kinematic of the running with data from instruments available on the athletics track. Comparation of outputs to find the best model for the analysis of a trial of a transfemoral amputee sprinter on the athletics track. Resolution of equations to estimate the trajectory of the centre of mass with a mass-spring-damper model and a simplification to get the spring-mass model.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
