Man is the body. We talk and express ourselves constantly with our bodies. Just with facial expressions, movements and poses, the body speaks a whole language without the need to say a word. The eyes, gestures and behaviour become the means to convey emotions and feelings. In our modern western culture the ethical need to hold back our emotional responses still prevails. As a society, we always try to moderate our language, responses and external manifestations in order to mirror the current cultural models. This kind of language, though, is shallow and rushed, and we are both its creators and interpreters. This thesis aims to reveal the communication masks that we, as humans, wear everyday. The body and the face of men speak a different language here; a language made of unintentional gestures that are still able to cause reactions and signal intentions. Physical signs that morph into a language; big and small gestures, sometimes as obvious as bursting into tears and sometimes barely noticeable, that unravel the different states of mind and define a direct and authentic body language.
Persona. Il corpo come linguaggio

Abstract
Physical signs that morph into a language; big and small gestures, sometimes as obvious as bursting into tears and sometimes barely noticeable, that unravel the different states of mind and define a direct and authentic body language.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
