Abstract
Cultural differences have a great influence on our behavior and life. We come from rural or city, south or north from different countries. so how to adapt in a multicultural conflict society in the future will become a challenge for us. Transmitting the different culture is not an easy task. Especially for children.Through a deep research in books, papers and interviewing kids and their parents , this thesis summaries the The importance of multicultural communication for children. And found a carrier that can be used — Chinese shadow show. At the same time, it is established that the moment when kids start going to learn the culture stories, become very critical to the themselves, because they will be more tolerant of the differences in this world. Under this context, an initial concept of Playing in the shadow was born a simple app and a group of games to connect different cultures and children while increasing the knowledge to the culture diversity for the kids. Through the app, kids can learn culture diversity and create stories with their parents. and through the game, kids can learn how to use shadow to show a story. The challenge of this project was to developed a system that will be contain two different components digital and physical . For this reason, from the beginning several prototypes done with several materials and techniques were proposed and test with the parents and with the kids. Each of the prototype not only improved the usability of the product but it also modified the system's initial concept. This is why, the final version contemplates that the system should “recommend” which new stories the kid has learn in the culture and then proposed a game for the kids that changes according to his background. This research tries to contribute to the knowledge of interaction design and how early prototyping is crucial to arrive to a final concept.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
