Hubs and authorities in the Regione Lombardia OD matrix

OD matrices are a tool used in the study of mobility. Regione Lombardia started to release these matrices years ago, and this work is an analysis of their 2016 version. First, the dataset is explored and our data cleaning is proposed. Then, this matrix is studied as several directed weighted networks, to obtain centrality measures, the hubs and the authorities. Finally, a clustering of the region is proposed based on the temporal evolution of the centrality of zones.

Una matrice OD è uno strumento utilizzato per studiare la mobilità. Regione Lombardia negli anni ha fornito diverse matrici di questo tipo. Questo lavoro è basato sulla loro versione del 2016. Il dataset è stato studiato, pulito e ne sono state ottenute delle visualizzazioni sfruttando le reti. Infine ne sono state studiate misure di centralità, e un clustering basato sulla evoluzione temporale di queste viene qui proposto.
