This paper proposes an economic analysis carried out, for a methanol production plant from bio-syngas, at the variation of the recycle ratio and of the gas hourly space velocity inside the synthesis reactor. The plant was modeled using Aspen Plus® and after a preliminary study of the mass and energy balances, an economic analysis is carried out following, as a guideline, what is reported by Turton et al. (Richard Turton, 2012). The aim of the work is to understand how the two variables chosen influence the remunerative potential of the entire biomethanol production plant.

Abstract
This paper proposes an economic analysis carried out, for a methanol production plant from bio-syngas, at the variation of the recycle ratio and of the gas hourly space velocity inside the synthesis reactor. The plant was modeled using Aspen Plus® and after a preliminary study of the mass and energy balances, an economic analysis is carried out following, as a guideline, what is reported by Turton et al. (Richard Turton, 2012). The aim of the work is to understand how the two variables chosen influence the remunerative potential of the entire biomethanol production plant.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
