Nowadays, the interest and possible applications of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) have been increasing rapidly, making this vehicles more and more impor- tant in human daily life. One of the operations that the scientific community is discussing the most is the autonomous landing of these small scale aircrafts. Among all the topics about UAV, the most discussed topics are the navigation and the landing in indoor environment, in which the UAV should be able, in absence of GPS signal, to autonomously find a point of interest, navigate toward it and finally land on it accurately and smoothly. The aim of this thesis is to propose new control laws that mixed with computer- vision allow to realize a vision-based tracking and landing algorithm for a multi- rotor UAV. In particular, in this application the vision algorithm will be applied in such a way as to retreive useful information on navigation purposes and exploit them in order to obtain an in-plane synchronization, followed by a time-optimal descent trajectory. The efficacy of marker visual detection and the control laws implemented are tested and validated in a simulation environment.

Abstract
The efficacy of marker visual detection and the control laws implemented are tested and validated in a simulation environment.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
