Ecologists sound the alarm that people consume more goods than before and leave non recyclable waste that remain on the Earth for ages. HOW? To apply 100% innovative recyclable materials to create contemporary interiors that will not loose their qualities, comfort and aesthetic beauty and modern trends. WHEN? Now and in the future. This thesis explores the role of the Circular economy and its potential use and impact for interior design for a more sustainable design ethos. To embrace the idea of Circular means moving away from linear behaviours. This takes us into the unknown but it’s a valuable exercise and helps us be wider in our view of the world and its opportunities.
CHE COSA? La necessità di materiali riciclabili al 100% sta crescendo oggi come le statistiche ambientali globali mostrano risultati deludenti. PERCHÉ? Gli ecologisti lanciano l'allarme che le persone consumano più beni di prima e lasciano rifiuti non riciclabili che rimangono sulla Terra per secoli. COME? Applicare materiali riciclabili innovativi al 100% per creare interni contemporanei che non perderanno le loro qualità, il comfort e la bellezza estetica e le tendenze moderne. QUANDO? Adesso e in futuro. Questa tesi esplora il ruolo dell'economia circolare e il suo potenziale utilizzo e impatto per l'interior design per un'etica progettuale più sostenibile. Sviluppare l'idea di circolarita significa allontanarsi dai comportamenti lineari. Questo é un esercizio prezioso e ci aiuta ad essere più ampi nella nostra visione del mondo e delle sue opportunità.
