This work reports the dimensioning and the analysis of two microwave waveguide filters with frequency dependent couplings in an inline topology. The two filters differ in the implementation of the frequency dependent couplings, in one filter are used posts in the other singlets. All the elements that composed the filters are studied and dimensioned using software based on mode-matching, taking particular into account resonant couplings. Both the filters have been examined using the software for the electromagnetic analysis HFSS, to analyze the performance and evaluate response with losses. performance are analyzed to understand the strengths and weakness of the two different implementations.

Abstract
This work reports the dimensioning and the analysis of two microwave waveguide filters with frequency dependent couplings in an inline topology. The two filters differ in the implementation of the frequency dependent couplings, in one filter are used posts in the other singlets. All the elements that composed the filters are studied and dimensioned using software based on mode-matching, taking particular into account resonant couplings. Both the filters have been examined using the software for the electromagnetic analysis HFSS, to analyze the performance and evaluate response with losses. performance are analyzed to understand the strengths and weakness of the two different implementations.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
