The thesis explores the topic of the Sfilato techniques, which is an ancient but delicate craftsmanship. Especially in Sicily and Chaoshan area in China, they all use Sfilato techniques, but also incorporate their own characteristics from generation to generation. Thesis compares Sicilian Sfilato and Chaoshan Artex in history development, cultural values, craft features, application field and present situation to find the connection brideg which provide inspiration for us to keep and protect this traditional skills. End design project is a garment accessory collection that incorporate both the Sicilian and Chaoshan Sfilato techniques to enrich the basics of our every day outfitters. Also through a functional system to helps the local community, perpetuate this elegant techniques and make it shine again.
La tesi esplora il tema delle tecniche dello sfilato, una lavorazione artigianale antica ma delicata. Soprattutto in Sicilia e nell'area del Chaoshan in Cina, tutti usano le tecniche dello sfilato, ma incorporano anche le proprie caratteristiche di generazione in generazione. La tesi mette a confronto lo Sfilato siciliano e il Chaoshan Artex nello sviluppo della storia, nei valori culturali, nelle caratteristiche artigianali, nel campo di applicazione e nella situazione attuale per trovare il collegamento che ci fornisce l'ispirazione per mantenere e proteggere queste abilità tradizionali. End design project è una collezione di accessori per abbigliamento che incorpora le tecniche Sicilian e Chaoshan Sfilato per arricchire le basi dei nostri outfitter di tutti i giorni. Anche attraverso un sistema funzionale per aiutare la comunità locale, perpetuare questa tecnica elegante e farla brillare di nuovo.
