The thesis describes the project carried out by the authors within Technoprobe S.p.A., aimed at reducing the lead time of the company's design process. Technoprobe operates in the semiconductor sector, adopts an Engineer-To-Order approach and its core product is the probe card. For the development of the project, the methodology proposed by the A3 model has been followed. Therefore initially the problem has been identified: the length of the design lead time of a particular type of probe card produced by the company. Then a study of the current situation was carried out by analysing the data available in the database, regarding the performance of the department. After an analysis of the causes of the identified inefficiencies, adequate countermeasures have been developed in order to address the issues spotted in the previous phase. The solutions, mainly involving a reorganization of some activities, have been selected in agreement with the company. The company was then provided with an implementation plan for those countermeasures, that would allow it to achieve its objectives in time.
La tesi descrive il progetto svolto dagli autori all’interno di Technoprobe S.p.A., volto alla riduzione del lead time del processo di progettazione della compagnia. Technoprobe opera nel settore dei semiconduttori, adotta un approccio di tipo Engineer-To-Order ed il suo core product è la probe card. Per lo svolgimento del progetto è stata seguita la metodologia proposta dall’A3 model. Pertanto inizialmente è stato individuato il problema: l’eccessiva lunghezza del lead time di progettazione di un particolare tipo di carta prodotta dalla compagnia. In seguito si è proceduto ad uno studio della situazione corrente tramite l’analisi dei dati presenti a database riguardo la performance del reparto. Dopo un’analisi delle cause delle inefficienze identificate, sono state sviluppate contromisure adeguate che impattassero significativamente il tempo di progettazione, tramite la riorganizzazione di alcune attività. Si è quindi fornito alla compagnia un piano di implementazione che consentisse di raggiungere gli obiettivi prefissati in tempo.
