Abstract
The great innovation of recent years, made by almost all car manufacturers, has been the introduction of hybrid electric / heat vehicles. This mean that the research, with large funds, focuses on this subject with interest. This result essentially bring to the development of new technologies and systems made for increase overall performance, so then these vehicles could be competitive versus conventional engines. There are several methods of approach to the hybrid (full hybrid, mild hybrid, minimal hybrid), and each one operates with a different weight in the vehicle's traction. Main task in this architecture is done by battery pack that ensure autonomy, as appropriate, partly or wholly to the operation of the vehicle. Efficiency improvements as well as increasing the useful life of the package, may thus have considerable benefits for the entire vehicle, so that will be more reliable and competitive for the market. A package management system must be necessary to get good efficiency and prevent dangerous situations. In fact a serious problem concerns the imbalance of power (and SoC) cells. In this paper, therefore, we presents a new method of balancing system with a battery pack series that uses an algorithm to calculate state of charge (SoC), and that makes simplicity, reliability and robustness its main strengths . The proposed BMS is based on the concept of Redundant Cell, a technique that dynamically disconnects a cell from the series of batteries to optimize charging status. Architectures currently available are compared with the one presented, and the results will be presented ahead. Alongside a more detailed analysis will be done and a general topology of the proposed system will be presented.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
