Utilization of robot as avatar and its effectiveness

In recent years, robots that can communicate with people have emerged and are being used in a variety of situations, including societal and domestic. Meanwhile, there have been attempts to use robots that can communicate with people as their own alter egos, called avatars. There has been a lot of research on robot avatars, and it is very important to consider and try to find out in what situations the robots can be used as a substitute for humans. In this study, to investigate the utilization and effectiveness of robots as avatars, two experiments were carried out, “product explanation by a robot” and “English conversation with a robot”.

Negli ultimi anni sono emersi robot in grado di comunicare con le persone e vengono utilizzati in una varietà di situazioni, comprese quelle domestiche e sociali. Nel frattempo, ci sono stati tentativi di utilizzare robot in grado di comunicare con le persone come i propri alter ego, chiamati avatar. Sono state condotte molte ricerche sugli avatar dei robot ed è molto importante considerare e cercare di scoprire in quali situazioni i robot possono essere utilizzati come sostituti degli umani. In questo studio, per indagare sull'utilizzo e l'efficacia dei robot come avatar, sono stati condotti due esperimenti, "spiegazione del prodotto da parte di un robot" e "conversazione in inglese con un robot".
