EDUCATION IN REFUGEE CAMPS: The first part of this thesis will plunge into a region of the world, on the boarder between Turkey and Syria that in the last decade has suffered the consequences of the ongoing Kurdish-Turkish war, that has left thousand of people without a home, living in refugee camps that have been set up thanks to different organizations. This first part is an attempt to understand in depth what are the consequences of this life-style for the children of the refugee camps and how the education is compromised for these young citizens. PACKABLE SCHOOL: The second part of the thesis, from the third chapter on, and the main focus of this study is the design and build of a transportable school that can intervene in such critical enviroments and be a temporary structure in wich the children can mantain an education as well as a community space where people can find a versatile shelter in case of need. The following chapters of the remaining study will envolve the designing of such a space, considering critical issues of the area, main strategies and detailed plans and drawing that show how such a school could work. THE CLIMATE DATA: A very crucial aspect about such a project is the climate situation. The fourth chapter in fact is dedicated to the in depth study and considerations about this particular region of the world’s climate situation, considering different types of approaches that can build up strategies and way of action utilizing the precious energetic resources of this locality.

L'EDUCAZIONE NEI CAMPI PROFUGHI: La prima parte di questa tesi si inserisce in una particolare regione del mondo, al confine tra la Turchia e la Siria, che nell'ultimo decennio ha subito le conseguenze della guerra curdo-turca in corso, che ha lasciato migliaia di persone senza una casa, costretti a vivere nei campi profughi che sono stati allestiti grazie a diverse organizzazioni. Questa prima parte è un tentativo di capire a fondo quali sono le conseguenze di questo stile di vita per i bambini dei campi profughi e come l'educazione viene compromessa per questi giovani cittadini. SCUOLA TRASPORTABILE: La seconda parte della tesi, a partire dal terzo capitolo, e l'obiettivo principale di questo studio è la progettazione e la costruzione di una scuola trasportabile che possa intervenire in ambienti critici, come quello sopra riportato, ed essere una struttura temporanea in cui i bambini possano mantenere un'istruzione, nonché uno spazio comunitario dove le persone possano trovare un rifugio versatile in caso di necessità. I capitoli successivi del restante studio riguarderanno la progettazione di un tale spazio, considerando le criticità della zona, le strategie principali, le piante ed i disegni dettagliati che mostrano come una tale scuola potrebbe funzionare. I DATI CLIMATICI: Un aspetto molto cruciale di un progetto del genere è la situazione climatica. Il quarto capitolo infatti è dedicato all'approfondimento e alle considerazioni sulla situazione climatica di questa particolare regione del mondo, considerando diversi tipi di approcci che possano costruire strategie e modalità di azione utilizzando le preziose risorse energetiche di questa località.
