Museo Arte Moderna, presso il polo dei Magazzini Generali di Brescia

It is from a need of the Municipality of Brescia, and specifically of the Museum of Santa Giulia, such as the need to design a space for the expansion of the warehouses for the museum's works, that the idea of the new Museum of Modern Art was born. of Brescia. My goal was immediately to concentrate more than one public function in a single building. Designing and planning a place for art intended as a space for the community is the central theme of the recovery of the "Casere". A fundamental and in-depth aspect was the survey phase. In fact, this was carried out using the aerial photogrammetry method, with the help of Sapr, for the return of a point cloud, 3d mesh with applied texture and photo-planes. This required an adequate means of air intake, a flight patent for critical operations (being in the city center) and learning to use the 3D Zephyr Aerial software. This has enabled us to reconstruct the building's state of affairs with fidelity and precision. The architectural project was developed following a process of functional definition and volumetric composition. It was in fact played with the volumes by creating a new volume that comes out of the old building that derives from the functional needs of the new functions inserted inside. In terms of environmental sustainability and internal comfort, we have chosen to emphasize a completely sustainable material right from the production stages and with a thousand resources such as hemp which ensures high standards. It was therefore possible to develop the theme of saving consumption, the ecological sustainability of the building and environmental comfort, allowing me to design an innovative complex.

È da un’esigenza del Comune di Brescia, e nello specifico del Museo di Santa Giulia, quale la necessità di progettazione di uno spazio per l’ampliamento dei magazzini per le opere del museo, che nasce l’idea del nuovo Museo di Arte Moderna di Brescia. Il mio obbiettivo è stato fin da subito quello di concentrare in un unico edificio più di una funzione pubblica. Progettare e pianificare un luogo per l’arte inteso come spazio per la comunità è il tema posto centralmente al recupero delle “Casere”. Un aspetto fondamentale e di approfondimento è stata la fase di rilievo. Infatti, questa è stata realizzata mediante il metodo della fotogrammetria aerea, con ausilio di Sapr, per la restituzione di nuvola di punti, 3d mesh con texture applicata e foto-piani. Questo ha richiesto un mezzo di presa aerea adeguato, un brevetto di volo per le operazioni critiche (trovandoci in centro città) e l’apprendimento dell’utilizzo del software 3D Zephyr Aerial. Si è così riuscito a ricostruire con fedeltà e precisione lo stato di fatto dell’edificio. Il progetto architettonico è stato sviluppato seguendo un processo di definizione funzionale e di composizione volumetrica. Si è infatti giocato con le volumetrie creando un volume nuovo che esce dal vecchio edificio che deriva dalle esigenze funzionali delle nuove funzioni inserite all’interno. In termini di sostenibilità ambientale e confort interno si è scelto di dare rilievo ad un materiale del tutto sostenibile fin dalle fasi di produzione e dalle mille risorse come la canapa che assicura degli alti standard. Si è quindi potuto sviluppare il tema del risparmio dei consumi, della sostenibilità ecologica dell’edificio e del confort ambientale, consentendomi di progettare un complesso innovativo.
