Cur@. Personalizzare la terapia riconfigurando processi e oggetti per il paziente politerapico

Polytherapy is an increasingly common approach: in Italy, 55% of the elderly population follows a polypharmacological regime (Osmed Report, 2020). This is defined as the simultaneous use of five or more drugs. The complexity of managing polytherapy is one of the critical issues that negatively affects patient adherence to therapy (Duerden et al., 2013). Cur@ takes inspiration from international examples of repacking and relabelling in the pharmaceutical field to improve adherence in chronic patients. By adapting the archetypal form of a calendar, Cur@ organizes and personalizes the patient’s therapy in a roll of single-dose pouches divided by hour and day of intake. Cur@ is made up of two main types of pouches: the gray ones that contain the patient’s therapy pills, tablets and capsules with the respective hours of intake and the colored that indicate the time and dosage of the other pharmaceutical forms. Indeed, Cur@ covers the entire therapy in all its pharmaceutical forms and the drugs that cannot be packaged in single-dose bags are personalized with labels of the same color as the memo pouch and dosage information, according to the indications of the doctor. Therefore, the service aims to simplify the daily complexities of the polytherapic patient, through a series of targeted interventions that facilitate/ encourage adherence by solving the difficulties from the moment of requesting prescriptions to the actual taking of medicines.

La politerapia è una condizione sempre più diffusa: in Italia il 55% della popolazione anziana segue un regime polifarmacologico (Rapporto Osmed, 2020), definito come utilizzo contemporaneo di cinque o più farmaci. La complessità di gestione della politerapia è una delle criticità che influisce negativamente sull’aderenza alla terapia del paziente (Duerden et al., 2013). Cur@ nasce su ispirazione di esempi internazionali di repacking e relabelling nell’ambito farmaceutico per migliorare l’aderenza nei pazienti cronici. Rimando archetipico alla forma del calendario, Cur@ organizza e personalizza la terapia dell’assistito in un rullino di bustine monodose divise per ora e giorno di assunzione. Cur@ è composta da due tipologie principali di bustine: le bustine grigie che contengono le pillole, compresse e capsule della terapia dell’assistito con il rispettivo orario di assunzione e le bustine colorate che indicano l’ora e il dosaggio delle altre forme farmaceutiche. Infatti, Cur@ copre l’intera terapia in tutte le sue forme farmaceutiche e i farmaci che non possono essere confezionati in bustine monodose sono personalizzati grazie all’apposizione di un’etichetta che riporta colore identico alla bustina memo e le informazioni sulla posologia secondo le indicazioni del medico. Il servizio si pone dunque l’obiettivo di agevolare le complessità quotidiane del paziente politerapico, tramite una serie di interventi mirati che facilitano l’aderenza risolvendo le difficoltà dal momento della richiesta delle prescrizioni fino all’effettiva assunzione dei medicinali.
