This thesis investigates the importance of educational spaces and the possibilities for rethinking the different modalities of education through interventions on such space. The necessity for a rethinking of school spaces has come to the forefront especially as many parties involved in such processes deal with the ever evolving challenges of the pandemic. The debate generated herein confirms the role of the school as a vitally indispensable tool for creating resilient communities for not only children, but all members alike. The goal of this work is therefore to provide an architectural response to the demand for these spaces by investigating the spatial possibilities of applying a widespread, flexible and interconnected model for the school environment. In doing so, the project focuses on the Milanese districts of Corvetto - Chiaravalle as an area of interest by structuring a set of possible interventions and projecting four of them in detail. Finally, this paper is to be considered as a reflection on the method and role of the architect himself: the design outcome presented here constitutes the last link in a longer chain of interactions, interviews, contributions and investigations, which sees the architect as a central figure without being exclusive to the design process.

Abstract
Finally, this paper is to be considered as a reflection on the method and role of the architect himself: the design outcome presented here constitutes the last link in a longer chain of interactions, interviews, contributions and investigations, which sees the architect as a central figure without being exclusive to the design process.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
