In the last decade, the increasing relevance gained by circular economy has forced capital-intensive companies to re-design the way they create value, moving towards a closed-loop production system where manufacturing and re-manufacturing processes must be integrated. However, due to the complex structure of high-value density products, synchronizing repairing and production flows requires a huge scheduling effort, which is affected by the uncertainty of re-manufacturing process. For this reason, a robust approach is fundamental to promptly react against unexpected events, accounting for stochastic products’ conditions. In this thesis, a risk-averse criterion, based on CVaR minimization, has been proposed to efficiently schedule the re-manufacturing of turbine blades through electrical discharge machining. Our work is resumed through a scenario-based MILP formulation, addressing parallel machine job insertion problem under rush orders, which is tested through multiple simulations on a real industrial case, partnered by Ansaldo Energia.

Abstract
Our work is resumed through a scenario-based MILP formulation, addressing parallel machine job insertion problem under rush orders, which is tested through multiple simulations on a real industrial case, partnered by Ansaldo Energia.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
