The work in exam is aimed at giving theoretical information about the blast load and its consequences on the design procedure. In particular, thanks to the ASCE code, it has been possible to model the time-histories proper for this type of action and perform simplified dynamic analysis, for example with chart solution or the Newmark step-by-step integration method, to obtain specific parameters to confirm the adequacy of the design choices. In the second part, a real building subjected to blast load has been analyzed and in particular, the results obtained by the simplified code method have been compared to those obtained by means of a FEM Midas model.

Abstract
The work in exam is aimed at giving theoretical information about the blast load and its consequences on the design procedure. In particular, thanks to the ASCE code, it has been possible to model the time-histories proper for this type of action and perform simplified dynamic analysis, for example with chart solution or the Newmark step-by-step integration method, to obtain specific parameters to confirm the adequacy of the design choices. In the second part, a real building subjected to blast load has been analyzed and in particular, the results obtained by the simplified code method have been compared to those obtained by means of a FEM Midas model.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
