Several smartphone applications related to Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) emerged from countries around the world during the outbreak of the pandemic, promising to become key responses to the situation. Various technological collaborations and partnerships of actors and governments have been formed, contributing to one of the largest global efforts ever. At the same time, a number of ethical-political concerns have shaped public discussion about COVID-19 apps (such as those related to surveillance, privacy and app effectiveness) by often referring to digital contact tracing apps. Starting from the work carried out by the App Studies group of researchers, the project offers, through different investigative lenses, an overview of the emerging ecology of COVID applications. The format of the project is the web report, which has become the junction point between two worlds, the social research field and the wider audience of interested people.

Abstract
The format of the project is the web report, which has become the junction point between two worlds, the social research field and the wider audience of interested people.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
