The subject of the research is the fabric, enhanced in every aspect. As a material made up of textile fibers, from the entire production cycle to the evolution of its processing techniques, in relation to the technological progress. As a design and expressive aim by artists and designers, in the field of furniture and interior design, over the course of the time: first by analyzing the first European avant-gardes of the twentieth century (with a focus on the Italian phenomenon of the manufacturing and the textile production of the postwar period), up to the relationship between textile companies and designers today. Fabric as a tool for creative dialogue between science and art, between art and industry. The cross-contamination and the connections between the different areas of design and art will be enhanced, through an in-depth analysis of the eclectic designers (promoters of the unity of arts in the twentieth century) and through a focus on the theme of textile as a narrative subject within dedicated museums and exhibitions. This last topic will be explored in the design aspect of the thesis, through the planning of an exhibition itinerary for the enhancement of the historical industrial heritage of Lanificio Leo, the oldest textile factory in Calabria.

Abstract
This last topic will be explored in the design aspect of the thesis, through the planning of an exhibition itinerary for the enhancement of the historical industrial heritage of Lanificio Leo, the oldest textile factory in Calabria.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
