The jewelry industry nowadays is increasingly catching up to technical advances that have transformed other industries. 3D printing is now a reality and introduces a completely new approach to jewelry design, production, and retail. The advantages of 3D to designers are numerous and obvious: quicker development times, easier corrections, and an incredible amount of detail. Diverging from mainstream designs is possible thanks to the convergence of 3D printing. In the past, a man was required to wear masculine jewelry and a woman was required to wear feminine jewelry. We are trying to live in a world without gender stereotypes and we are trying to increase the self-expression. In the world of jewelry and fashion, there should be no gender discrimination and no stereotypes of design. Jewelry designers nowadays do not design for a specific gender. When it comes to personal style, there are certain guidelines to follow. People should be able to express themselves however they want, by wearing jewelry that makes them happy, gives them confidence, and encourages them to express themselves. This issue motivated me to create a jewelry collection and concentrate on the genderless people that they do not want to compromise with male and female categories in jewelry industry but wearing something that suits with their personality. For me was very important to show the complexity of the genders and the different ways we can identify today the genders. Gender is infinitely complex, but their identity is repeated in different aspects of their being. Inspired by Fractal that is a geometric form that repeats itself while it is at infinite magnification. I used 3D technology to represent this idea in a very detailed and specific way. L'industria della gioielleria oggigiorno sta raggiungendo sempre più il passo con i progressi tecnici che hanno trasformato altri settori. La stampa 3D è ora una realtà e introduce un approccio completamente nuovo alla progettazione, produzione e vendita di gioielli. I vantaggi del 3D per i progettisti sono numerosi ed evidenti: tempi di sviluppo più rapidi, correzioni più semplici e un'incredibile quantità di dettagli. Stiamo cercando di vivere in un mondo senza stereotipi di genere e stiamo cercando di aumentare l'autoespressione. Ho utilizzato la tecnologia 3D per rappresentare questa idea in modo molto dettagliato e specifico.
