In a context characterized by the aging of the population and greater and greater attention given to healthy lifestyle and wellbeing, products with a high level of technology are becoming the central remedy to social and economic issues anchored in the society and related to the segment of the population over 65 y.o., but not only. These solutions can provide an interesting answer not only because they directly help the target customers to whom they refer, but also because they can mitigate some inefficiencies visible in the national health systems. NESTORE is completely at the center of these solutions, and it can drive them. The final aim of this project thesis is the structuration of a comprehensive business plan aimed at establishing a concrete dissemination and exploitation strategy able to mitigate the risk of not seeing the potential of NESTORE materialized in the real market and owned by NESTORE as a project (a very common problem in European projects). NESTORE (Horizon 2020 project) is described in its main features and components. It can be defined as “an innovative coach that aims to accompany people as they age by offering personalized advice” (NESTORE Website, n.d.) working on four main domains: physical, nutritional, cognitive, and social guaranteeing a continuous interaction with the customers. The market analysis performed reveals the incredible opportunities exploitable by NESTORE in the niche market identified. Leveraging on its main competitive advantages NESTORE can position itself in a favorable place concerning its competitors presenting the highest values of the level of technology adopted and user-dimensions services covered. The exploitation and distribution strategy is concretized through online channels (Amazon and Big Pharmacies Chains, such as Boots and LoydsFarmacia) and a promotion strategy that, in parallel to Facebook marketing campaigns, sees a promotion through a network of personal trainers in the most famous sports center and gym chains. NESTORE is organized as a start-up company settled in the Netherlands with a warehouse in Eindhoven available to organize the part of logistics aims at bringing its product to the Amazon central warehouse. The commercialization of NESTORE regards its two main versions (BASIC and PREMIUM) accessible through subscription fees defined per month. Starting from the Netherlands the selling activity progressively continues in Italy, Spain till reaching the rest of European countries. The financial plan, as the core part of the business plan, illustrates the economic implications of the main strategies choices showing the deployment of the revenues and costs streams arriving at the final projections of the net profit during the 5 years of commercialization, underling the 5th net profit of € 2.374.479,11. It is possible to assert that the principal aim of this thesis has been respected, defining a solid business plan that if observed can bring to an efficient, effective, and profitable exploitation and distribution strategy.
In un contesto caratterizzato dall'invecchiamento della popolazione e da una sempre maggiore attenzione allo stile di vita sano ed al benessere, i prodotti tecnologici stanno diventando il rimedio centrale alle problematiche sociali ed economiche ancorate nella società e legate al segmento di popolazione over 65, ma non solo. Queste soluzioni possono fornire una risposta interessante non solo perché supportano direttamente il target di clientela a cui si riferiscono, ma anche perché possono mitigare alcune inefficienze visibili nei sistemi sanitari nazionali. NESTORE è un rappresentante di queste soluzioni e può guidarle. Lo scopo finale di questa tesi è la definizione di un esauriente business plan volto a stabilire una strategia di diffusione e valorizzazione concreta mirata a mitigare il rischio di non vedere concretizzati nel mercato reale le potenzialità di NESTORE dal punto di vista progettuale (problema assai comune in molti progetti Europei). NESTORE (progetto Horizon 2020) viene descritto nelle sue caratteristiche e componenti principali. Può essere definito come “un coach innovativo che mira ad accompagnare le persone nell'età offrendo consigli personalizzati” (Sito Web NESTORE, nd) lavorando su quattro domini principali: fisico, nutrizionale, cognitivo e sociale e garantendo un continua interazione con gli utenti. L'analisi di mercato svolta, rivela le incredibili opportunità di NESTORE nel mercato di nicchia individuato. Facendo leva sui suoi principali vantaggi competitivi, NESTORE è in grado di posizionarsi favorevolmente rispetto ai suoi competitors presentando il più alto livello tecnologico adottato e garantendo i migliori servizi customizzati sull’utente. La strategia di commercializzazione di NESTORE si focalizza sui canali online (Amazon e grandi catene farmaceutiche, come Boots e LoydsFarmacia) e una strategia di promozione che, parallelamente alle campagne marketing tramite Facebook, vede una promozione attraverso una rete di personal trainer all’interno delle più importanti catene di centri sportivi e palestre. NESTORE è concepito come una start-up fondata nei Paesi Bassi con a disposizione un magazzino localizzato ad Eindhoven per organizzare la parte di logistica finalizzata a portare il proprio prodotto al magazzino centrale di Amazon che provvederà alla distribuzione su larga scala. La commercializzazione di NESTORE riguarda le sue due versioni (BASIC e PREMIUM) accessibili tramite canoni di abbonamento definiti mensilmente. Partendo dai Paesi Bassi l'attività di vendita prosegue negli anni progressivamente in Italia, Spagna fino a raggiungere il resto dei paesi Europei. Il piano finanziario, come parte centrale del piano industriale, illustra le principali implicazioni economiche delle scelte strategiche effettuate, mostrando i flussi di ricavi e costi che portano a delle proiezioni finali dell'utile netto durante i 5 anni di commercializzazione; terminando con un utile pari a € 2.374.479,11 (ultimo anno di previsione). È possibile affermare che l'obiettivo principale di questa tesi sia stato rispettato, strutturando un solido business plan che, se rispettato, possa portare ad una strategia di valorizzazione e distribuzione efficiente, efficace e redditizia.
