L’elaborato che qui si presenta pone l’obiettivo di fornire delle indicazioni generali riguardanti gli stalli della sosta nei suoi aspetti principali. Nel primo capitolo si è cercato di introdurre le motivazioni che sono alla base della necessità della presenza di parcheggi, facendo riferimento all’aspetto normativo che riguarda questa tematica, con particolare attenzione all’evoluzione di tale aspetto normativo. Successivamente, nel secondo capitolo si sono volute fornire un quadro generale delle caratteristiche comuni che si possono riscontrare in tutte le tipologie di stallo, per poi passare a una suddivisione specifica e tipologica in funzione delle esigenze a cui i parcheggi rispondono. Nel terzo capitolo si è ritenuto di dover mettere in evidenza i principali impianti che necessariamente devono essere presenti in una struttura di parcheggio, come secondo le indicazioni della normativa vigente. Nell’ultimo capitolo si è analizzato un caso di studio rappresentato da un parcheggio di nuova progettazione che sorgerà nell’immediato futuro in un comune del varesotto; durante questa analisi si è cercato di ripercorrere le caratteristiche esplicitate nei capitoli precedenti fornendo così una descrizione funzionale della struttura da un punto di vista geometrico e impiantistico. L’approccio utilizzato per la realizzazione dell’elaborato è stato principalmente bibliografico, ad esclusione dell’ultimo capitolo, per la stesura del quale ho avuto accesso a un progetto reale trattato dallo studio in cui ho svolto l’attività di tirocinio. L’inserimento di un caso di studio reale all’interno dell’elaborato si pone l’obiettivo di mostrare l’applicazione normativa e le modifiche di progetto necessarie per il rispetto di questa.
