Bushehr social housing

Iran is a vast country with almost all types of climates, but it only has one building code for all of them and there is no codified rule for each climate. As a result, the buildings are not designed and constructed based on their specific region and climate. This lack of research and also cheap energy make architects and people unaware of the impact that a building could have on its environment. Unfortunately, in Iran, like most of the developing countries, there is no will to make sustainable and energy-efficient buildings. Bushehr is one of the most important ports of Iran and has a great architectural background due to its connection to all over the world throughout its history. But nowadays this valuable architecture is being neglected and it is replaced by a so-called "modern architecture" which has no identity and it is costly for the environment. Also, due to its young population, Iran is facing the problem of affordable housing, as there are not enough houses and the prices are too high which people can not afford. The Bushehr social housing project is an attempt to study and propose solutions based on the traditional architecture of the city combined with modern architecture so it can be a role model in the historical center of Bushehr. The main goal of the project is cost efficiency and also the energy efficiency of the building.

L'Iran è un paese vasto con quasi tutti i tipi di clima, ma ha un solo codice edilizio per tutti e non esiste una regola codificata per ogni clima. Di conseguenza, gli edifici non sono progettati e costruiti in base alla loro regione e clima specifici. Questa mancanza di ricerca e anche di energia a basso costo rendono gli architetti e le persone inconsapevoli dell'impatto che un edificio potrebbe avere sul suo ambiente. Purtroppo in Iran, come nella maggior parte dei paesi in via di sviluppo, non c'è la volontà di realizzare edifici sostenibili ed efficienti dal punto di vista energetico. Bushehr è uno dei porti più importanti dell'Iran e ha un grande background architettonico grazie al suo collegamento con tutto il mondo nel corso della sua storia. Ma oggi questa preziosa architettura viene trascurata e viene sostituita da una cosiddetta "architettura moderna" che non ha identità ed è costosa per l'ambiente. Inoltre, a causa della sua giovane popolazione, l'Iran sta affrontando il problema degli alloggi a prezzi accessibili, poiché non ci sono abbastanza case e i prezzi sono troppo alti che le persone non possono permettersi. Il progetto di social housing Bushehr è un tentativo di studiare e proporre soluzioni basate sull'architettura tradizionale della città combinata con l'architettura moderna in modo che possa essere un modello nel centro storico di Bushehr. L'obiettivo principale del progetto è l'efficienza dei costi e anche l'efficienza energetica dell'edificio.
