Gifts, broadly defined, are something given, bestowed, entrusted to someone else. A gesture of affection, to show favor toward someone or celebrate the occasion. It was, nonetheless, severely disrupted with the widespread virus and it was modified over the pandemic constraints. The focus of this modest research is to understand a little better how digital intermediaries have infiltrated the process of giving a gift, from behavioral changes to new trends, and midway obstacles. Since many had to embrace the approach of choosing and buying the present online, without seeing the real product and without delivering it in person. After this brief exploration, a project was developed toward the event of Secret Santa (in some countries called “Secret Friend”) and it is structured in two main parts to cover the end-to-end flow. The first one is the organization of the event done by the host and the second is the game-event itself, designed to refresh and revive the tradition. Considering the new circumstances, we have to reinvent the way of doing things. With this mindset, “Guesft” project was conceived, a modern way to exchange gifts and create memories by guessing who are the receivers.

Abstract
With this mindset, “Guesft” project was conceived, a modern way to exchange gifts and create memories by guessing who are the receivers.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
