Lean 4.0 tools : statistical view of users and suppliers

The purpose of this research is to draft a database of contacts, useful for a future investigation about the suppliers of digital tools in a LEAN manufacturing context. In a theoretical way, the literature stead that the interaction between LEAN Production and Industry 4.0 leads to high improvements in the efficiency and effectiveness of companies’ processes. Better performances are explained by the fact that bundles and tools of the former are leveraged to use the technologies of the latter. In particular the main purpose of this research is to try to validate the statements regarding how much the Lean Management initiatives can be used to boost industrial performances by eliminating of waste and enhancing value-added activities. For this reason, an accurate investigation on the real case studies was made in order to verify wether or not is really impacting on it. There were take into considerantion many real cases in order to verify how much were efficient and effectiveness the usage of these digital tools in the real life.

Lo scopo della presente ricerca è quello di redigere un database di contatti, utile per una futura indagine sui fornitori di strumenti digitali in un contesto di produzione LEAN. Gli studi confermano che l'interazione tra LEAN Production e Industry 4.0 porti ad alti miglioramenti nell'efficienza e nell'efficacia dei processi aziendali. Infatti, le teorie del Lean Management coadiuvate dagli strumenti digitali dell’Industria 4.0, producono ampi benefici in termini di prestazioni nel senso lato. In particolare, preciso intento della presente ricerca è quello di cercare di validare le dichiarazioni relative a quanto le iniziative e attività di Lean Management possano essere utilizzate per incrementare le performance industriali, eliminando gli sprechi e valorizzando tutte le attività cosiddette a valore aggiunto. Per questo motivo, un'indagine accurata è stata svolta e focalizzata su casi studio redatti direttamente da realtà aziendali, con l’unico intento di verificare se effettivamente le attività lean impattino o meno sulle prestazioni generali. I casi studio presi in considerazione sono stati fondamentali per capire quanto sia efficace ed efficiente l’uso di questi strumenti digitali non solo dal punto di vista teorico, ma anche dal punto di vista pratico nella vita reale.
