The central theme of this paper is the link between the economic and social development of a geographically isolated territory, such as Valle Camonica, and its potential degree of accessibility towards the nearest higher-order urban centres. The study will not limit itself to reporting problems, but will propose solutions, essentially focused on new infrastructures, on their economic feasibility and on a possible evaluation, based on questionnaires proposed directly to end users.
