"Biophilic Footprint" analyses from the macro to the micro numerous aspects that link respect for nature with architectural and product design. The development of the thesis starts from the social and spatial consequences of the global pandemic that began in 2020, and also analyses the benefits obtained from technological development at that time. At the same time, the main technologies on the market, closely related to the production of furniture, are analysed. This research allowed to lay the foundations of the concept connected with the company Bizzotto Italia, partner company of the course "Thesis Incubator Studio". The pandemic has exposed the weaknesses but also the strengths, and above all the general need to live in a healthier world. This led to the idea of defining the fundamental aspects of respecting nature during the design phase. Thanks to the study conducted on Biophilia, a science related to design that studies how nature adapts and solves its own problems, it was possible to define these fundamental aspects to respect the world we live in. Thanks to the first phase of research it was possible to understand which technologies could solve these problems. Additive Manufacturing, better known as 3D printing, is the basis of the project concept, which will then be applied in various possibilities for Bizzotto Italia. During the concept definition phase, the reasons why this technology helps to respect the environment during the design and production phases are brought out.

Abstract
During the concept definition phase, the reasons why this technology helps to respect the environment during the design and production phases are brought out.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
