Abstract
Every day, the construction industry has an effect on all of our lives. Without it, there would be no roads, offices, hospitals, schools, or, maybe most significantly, houses. With ever-increasing demand, the industry has the ability not only to create employment and increase the economy but also to assist the development of other businesses. Digital construction has become a hot issue in recent years, with the development of new technologies and in-depth application in numerous fields of construction, and smart construction has become a popular urban development strategy. The development of the technology and the change of the daily working life activities due to pandemic situations leads to the spread of less human-high mechanical devices’ effort on production, design, construction, and control stages of the industries. Interconnection between the disciplines which are already interacted with each other as design construction-maintenance and control, need clarification for every step and through all the processes. The digital tools and software allow to decrease the percentage of the deficiencies and mistakes during design and application, and this also helps to check the reliability of the inputs and outputs of all processes. Robotic gadgets used on construction sites give high precision for goods (output) and help to reduce the amount of risk to human health. All of these enhancements for the industry provide better visualization during the process, assist on-site workers in understanding each step, strengthen the connection between multidisciplinary professions such as architects, civil or mechanical engineers, and introduce new technologies for the sector. Furthermore, any changes modifications, and enhancements made to projects throughout the design process may be visible by all responsible users, including customers. In addition to that during such pandemic conditions, these technologies improve labor quality and productivity while also lowering costs and building time. This article shows the digital construction advancements and the benefits of construction sites in the event of a pandemic.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
