La Certosa digitale. Sperimentare la modellazione del sistema informativo per la conservazione : la Certosa di Pavia

The development and advancement of new digital design techniques that differ from the two-dimensional drawing standards to which we are accustomed, has already been experiencing significant growth at a global level since the early 2000s. The current discussions, which concern issues related to the concept of environmental sustainability and the search for new economic models for resource management, clearly define a historical period in which there is an increasing awareness that an update, compared to the old models for planning and the control on the built, turns out to be absolutely necessary. Through the exercise of three-dimensional modeling and configuration of an Information System concerning respectively the cases of the Cloister of the Kitchen and the Museum relating to the monumental complex of the Certosa di Pavia, we intend to demonstrate how it is possible to apply digital modeling on a historic building and of how it is possible to generate a new system of knowledge capable of managing, in its entirety, the rich and complex set of information that can be recovered from the built object of intervention. The elaboration of a digital model applied to a historical architecture and the related Information System that we intend to generate, aims to show the potential of the tools that we have now possessed for some time and which only need to be applied to a system that is too anchored to models of past design that does not guarantee a precise and accurate management, both in economic terms and in terms of exploitation, of resources. Directly linked to this aspect, it is important to underline how the parametric BIM modeling that you want to explore is a fundamental step to be included in the areas of daily work, not only for the convenience of being able to work on a model that can integrate the knowledge of several professionals. within a single information system, but for the possibility of being able to preserve, create value, disseminate and safeguard the immense historical heritage we possess.

Lo sviluppo e l’avanzamento di nuove tecniche di progettazione digitale che differiscono dagli standard di disegno bidimensionale a cui siamo abituati, sta avendo già a partire dai primi anni duemila, un’importante crescita a livello globale. Le attuali discussioni, che riguardano temi legati al concetto di sostenibilità ambientale e di ricerca di nuovi modelli economici per la gestione delle risorse, definiscono chiaramente un periodo storico in cui è sempre maggiore la consapevolezza che un aggiornamento, rispetto ai vecchi modelli per la progettazione ed il controllo sul costruito, risulta essere assolutamente necessario. Attraverso l’esercizio di modellazione tridimensionale e di configurazione di un Sistema Informativo che riguarda rispettivamente i casi del Chiostro della Cucina e del Museo relativi al complesso monumentale della Certosa di Pavia, si intende dimostrare come sia possibile applicare la modellazione digitale su un edificio storico e di come sia possibile generare un nuovo sistema di conoscenze capace di gestire, nella sua totalità, il ricco e complesso insieme di informazioni che è possibile recuperare del costruito oggetto di intervento. L’elaborazione di un modello digitale applicato ad un’architettura storica e del relativo Sistema Informativo che si intende generare, vuole mostrare le potenzialità degli strumenti che ormai possediamo da tempo e che necessitano esclusivamente di essere applicati ad un sistema fin troppo ancorato a modelli di progettazione passati che non garantiscono una precisa e accurata gestione, sia in termini economici che di sfruttamento, delle risorse. Direttamente legato a questo aspetto, è importante sottolineare come la modellazione parametrica BIM che si vuole esplorare, sia un passaggio fondamentale da inserire negli ambiti del lavoro quotidiano, non solo per la praticità di poter lavorare su un modello che possa integrare le conoscenze di più professionisti all’interno di un unico Sistema informativo, ma per la possibilità di riuscire a conservare, creare valore, diffondere e salvaguardare l’immenso patrimonio storico che possediamo.
