Re-think user experience

re_gen urban space | re_invent living space re_think user experience is our thesis project that argues issues concerning environmental sustainability. The research of the topics is focused on the relationship between the users and the space that the former inhabits daily. The issues addressed try to intertwine contemporary needs: from rethinking residential and work environments (considering the possibility of a pandemic experience), to the desire to reconcile the theme of constructability. We decided to ask the question about the main actor: the user. In these pages, we have tried to better communicate our goal through written and graphic content. The work is based on a theoretical and design approach, of research, in which we try to outline the profile of the inhabitant. We tried to draw a red thread that would allow the connection with the design. We started from urban spaces, which shape the contemporary city, trying to get closer to a more sustainable perspective, on a human scale, up to the inhabited envelope, in which the design of an environment must take into account the temporal variable, so as to be able to satisfy different uses throughout its life cycle. re_think user experience è il nostro progetto di tesi che argomenta tematiche riguardanti la sostenibilità ambientale. La ricerca degli argomenti è focalizzata sul rapporto tra l’utenza e lo spazio che la prima abita quotidianamente. Le tematiche affrontate cercano di intrecciare necessità contemporanee: dal ripensare gli ambienti residenziali e del lavoro (considerando la possibilità di un’esperienza pandemica), alla volontà di conciliare il tema della costruibilità. Abbiamo deciso di porre l’interrogativo sull’attore principale: l’utente. In queste pagine, abbiamo tentato di comunicare al meglio il nostro obiettivo attraverso contenuti scritti e grafici. Il lavoro è impostato su un approccio teorico e progettuale, di ricerca, nella quale cerchiamo di delineare il profilo dell’abitante. Abbiamo cercato di tracciare un filo rosso che permettesse il collegamento con la progettazione. Siamo partiti dagli spazi urbani, che plasmano la città contemporanea, cercando di avvicinarci ad un’ottica più sostenibile, a misura d’uomo, fino all’involucro abitato, in cui la progettazione di un ambiente deve tener conto della variabile temporale, così da poter soddisfare diversi usi nell’arco del proprio ciclo di vita.
