Process information modelling : process simulation and management

Undoubtedly, one of the prerequisites for collaboration is the ability to successfully exchange the neces-sary information. What we call communication therefore plays a key role in the success or failure of a project. As with the management of a building, through the methodology of Building Information Mod-eling, so deserves attention to monitor and manage what are the processes. Through what might seem like a series of constraints and rules, PIM is intended to be a guide, a blueprint for both the individual and the entire team responsible. Developing a virtual workspace is about optimizing and enhancing in-ternal communication, as well as making it easier to communicate what has been achieved and how it was achieved. Having "black on white" all the processes that led to the achievement of that result, also allows to begin very quickly and transparently all the fulfillments not only contractual but also legal and / or administrative. The tools, as is inherent in their most intrinsic nature, require a user, an individual who chooses how and why to use them, taking responsibility for the consequences. The decision-maker, in turn, will need to trust in the delegation of responsibilities and processes to his or her collaborators and employees, which is why having a strong scheme of activities and associated responsibilities can be critical to ensuring maximum efficiency.

Indubbiamente una delle prerogative necessarie per collaborare è la capacità di scambiarsi con successo le informazioni necessarie. Quella che chiamiamo comunicazione, riveste quindi un ruolo chiave per il successo o il fallimento di un progetto. Come per la gestione di un edificio, tramite la metodologia del Building Information Modeling, così merita attenzione monitorare e gestire quelli che sono i processi. Tramite quello che potrebbe sembrare una serie di vincoli e limiti, PIM vuole invece essere una guida, uno schema sia per il singolo individuo sia per l’intero team responsabile. Sviluppare un ambiente di lavoro virtuale intende quindi andare ad ottimizzare e potenziare la comunicazione interna, ma anche la possibilità di comunicare più agevolmente i risultati ottenuti e come si è giunti a questi ultimi. Avendo “nero su bianco” tutti i processi che hanno portato al conseguimento di quel risultato, permette anche di cominicare molto rapidamente ed in maniera trasparente tutti gli adempimenti non solo contrattuali ma anche legali e/o amministrativi. Gli strumenti, com’è insito nella loro natura più intrinseca, necessitano di un utilizzatore, un individuo che sceglie come e perchè utilizzarli, assumendosi la responsabilità delle conseguenze. Il decision-maker a sua volta dovrà fidarsi nel delegare responsibilità e processi ai suoi collaboratori e dipendeniti, per questo avere uno forte schema di attività e responsabilità associate può essere determinante per una garanzia di massima efficienza.
