This work is aimed to discuss the effect of the anionic species in KOH-based baths for zinc electrodeposition. Knowing that KOH-based solutions has better electrical conductivity with respect to the more rooted NaOH-based ones, a set of zinc salt precursors is selected to study the effect of introduced anionic species. In fact, the only one variable in the chemistry of these baths, excluding the not considered additives, are the anionic species that characterize the electrochemical behaviour of the base electrolyte.

Abstract
This work is aimed to discuss the effect of the anionic species in KOH-based baths for zinc electrodeposition. Knowing that KOH-based solutions has better electrical conductivity with respect to the more rooted NaOH-based ones, a set of zinc salt precursors is selected to study the effect of introduced anionic species. In fact, the only one variable in the chemistry of these baths, excluding the not considered additives, are the anionic species that characterize the electrochemical behaviour of the base electrolyte.File | Dimensione | Formato | |
