Therefore, the purpose of this research project is to analyze and report which are the major impacts of Covid-19 on Supply Chain Finance solutions. Design, methodology, and approach – A Systematic Review of the Literature was the starting point of this thesis, allowing to get a thorough understanding of the subject and to identify the major research gaps. Following that, the Case studies methodology was used in order to validate and enhance the framework developed from the literature. A total of ten case studies were analyzed. Findings – The main results of the research work are: (1) A Revised Framework in the light of what was discovered from the Case studies, which is the evolution of the Preliminary Research Framework; (2) The impacts that the Covid-19 had on SCF objectives of adoption, forcing companies to start focusing not only on financial and economic objectives but also on the relationships along the supply chain; (3) The effects the pandemic had on each of the enabling and inhibiting variables emerged from the extant literature; (4) Definition of three clusters of companies, based on how their SCF solutions are changed during the pandemic. Limits and future research – The acquired results are qualitative due to the explorative nature of the thesis work; future research might implement quantitative approaches to evaluate the relative impact of factors. Furthermore, expanding the sample of interviewed firms would be beneficial in order to analyze Case studies from other industries and geographical areas.
