Tall building. Porta Romana, Milan, Italy

The project of a complex of tall buildings located on the territory of the railway next to the Porta Romana railway station. The intervention area is located in a strategic point of the city, at the crossroad between the radial Corso di Porta Romana - Corso Lodi and the external ring way, one of the main roads of the city's structural system. Furhermore, the project site has an existing metro entrance of the Lodi T.I.B.B station. It is a place of intersection between the dense and consolidated fabric of the central city and the more heterogeneous and irregular settlement of the Modern city. The complex consists of a main dominant tower with a podium serving as an office, as well as 3 residential towers, united by a podium with the function of public spaces (shops, restaurants and cafes, a gym, a library). The project also serves as a public transport hub, connecting a train station, a metro station and a bus stop. In addition, the complex is meant as a possible object of the Olympic village with the possibility of subsequent conversion into housing or a dormitory.

Il progetto di un complesso di edifici alti situati sul territorio della ferrovia a fianco della stazione ferroviaria di Porta Romana. L'area di intervento è ubicata in un punto strategico della città, all'incrocio tra il radiale Corso di Porta Romana - Corso Lodi e la tangenziale esterna, una delle principali arterie del sistema strutturale cittadino. Inoltre, il sito di progetto ha un ingresso della metropolitana esistente della stazione di Lodi T.I.B.B. È un luogo di intersezione tra il tessuto denso e consolidato della città centrale e l'insediamento più eterogeneo e irregolare della città moderna. Il complesso è costituito da una torre principale dominante con un podio adibito ad ufficio, oltre a 3 torri residenziali, unite da un podio con funzione di spazi pubblici (negozi, ristoranti e caffè, una palestra, una biblioteca). Il progetto funge anche da snodo del trasporto pubblico, collegando una stazione ferroviaria, una stazione della metropolitana e una fermata dell'autobus. Inoltre il complesso è inteso come possibile oggetto del villaggio olimpico con possibilità di successiva trasformazione in abitazione o dormitorio.
