Il giardino tra calle Trajano e calle Amor de Dios. Progetto di trasformazione e riabilitazione dell’antico cine Trajano. Casco antiguo, Sevilla

A common aspiration of society is to live in a villa: adequate space, a garden, a freedom to use, to move, to live. There is an ambition to live in a structured, well-serviced neighbourhood that can represent an identity and stimulate a sense of belonging. At the same time, however, architects and urban planners, as Eco said, the last humanists, must be in continuous comparison with something else in order to implement responsible and sensible solutions, taking into account climate issues, excessive land consumption, waste and poor land management. We have to think about the city and how to inhabit it, the attitude chosen in the project is not to tear down, not to undo, not to cut what is alive, but to strengthen it, and contribute to the balance of the existing urban structure. The project envisages the transformation and rehabilitation of the old cine Trajano, a building located inside the historic center of Seville, in a multifunctional building.

Un’ aspirazione comune della società è vivere in una villa: spazi adeguati, giardino, una libertà di usi, di muoversi, di vivere, di abitare. C’è l’ambizione di vivere in un quartiere strutturato, ben servito, che possa rappresentare un’identità e possa stimolare un senso di appartenenza. Allo stesso tempo però gli architetti e gli urbanisti, come disse Eco, ultimi umanisti, devono essere in continua comparazione con altro da sè, per mettere in atto soluzioni resposabili e sensate, prendendo in considerazione problematiche climatiche, l’ eccessivo consumo di suolo, gli sprechi e la cattiva gestione del territorio. Bisogna pensare alla città e come abitarla, l’attitudine scelta nel progetto consiste nel non abbattere, nel non disfare, nel non tagliare quello che è vivo, bensì nel rinforzarlo, e contribuire all’equilibrio della struttura urbana esistente. Il progetto prevede la trasformazione e la riabilitazione dell'antico cine Trajano, un edificio che si trova all'interno del casco antiguo di Siviglia, in un edificio polifunzionale.
